Decentralization and Local Development Programme (dldp), organized on October 9th, 2014 in Bushat commune the first meeting of Coordination Committee (CC) for dldp3. Mayors and representatives of LGUs from five regions Shkodër, Lezhë, Kukës, Dibër and Durrës attended this meeting. Commune of Bushat hosted the meeting. Ambassador of Switzerland in Albania Mr. Christof Graf was the special guest of this Coordination Committee meeting. Other participants were from regional Council of Shkodra, dldp partner service providers, private sector etc. Main issues discussed in the CC meeting, were dldp activities within 2014, new dldp approaches in the frame of decentralization strategy revision and territorial reform, election of CC representatives in the highest decision making body of dldp programe-Steering Committee. An important part of agenda, was the discussion on new amendments of organic law on functioning of local government in Albania. More details on this discussion you can find in the report. Mayors in this meeting signed the Memorandum of Understanding with dldp, formalizing the cooperation modalities, as well as approved the Statutes and the composition of CC. Coordination Committee meeting was combined also with field visits in the landfill of Bushat, OSSH of Bushat and premises of Ana Malit commune with the presence of Ambassador Graf and CC members. Next CC meeting was decided to take place in the premises of Shijak municipality.
