The Government of Albania has initiated the process for drafting the new Crosscutting Strategy for Decentralization and Local Governance, which will be implemented in parallel and will be complementary to the administrative-territorial reform. This strategy will be developed in collaboration with USAID Planning and Local Government Project (PLGP) and aims to further deepen the decentralization reform. By Order of the Prime Minister no. 69, dated 02.13.2014 a working group was established to draft the new Cross-Cutting Strategy for Decentralization and Local Governance. This working group consists of representatives from local government, local associations, business representatives, civil society, international organizations and donors.
